In the 2016 model year the Mazda2 sedan reached the United States as the Scion iA, the only four door sedan in the Scion range and the only Scion not built in Japan, because Mazda made it in North America at its plant in Mexico. In Canada the same car was sold under the Toyota name as the Yaris Sedan for every model year of its run, while the Mazda branded hatchback carried on elsewhere in its third year of production.
