A full model change in October 1991 gave the Scrum a mid engine layout for the van, with the engine below the load floor, while the truck kept the cab over layout with the engine under the cab. The three cylinder SOHC engines were a 61 PS intercooled turbo and a 50 PS EPI or 42 PS naturally aspirated unit, and the car was still sold under the Autozam name. The Scrum was an OEM version of the Suzuki Every and Carry from the start.
