1996 Mazda Demio

Automobiles

Production of the first generation Demio started in July 1996 and it went on sale on 27 August 1996, after being shown at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show as the BU-X concept, with the colors and the front design made more ordinary for the market. It was the replacement of the sedan only Revue, a tall hatchback with a minivan like package, and it was sold as the 121 outside Japan and Europe. It won the Japan Car of the Year special award and the RJC Car of the Year.
