The Bongo of 2008 was in its tenth year of the fourth generation, a cabover van and truck sold in Japan with a 1.8 liter petrol engine and a 2.2 liter diesel. It was rebadged by Mitsubishi as the Delica Truck and Van and by Nissan as the Vanette, under OEM deals with Mazda. It also formed the basis for the long running Kia Bongo range. The Bongo was also known as the Ford Econovan and Eunos Cargo, and it has been built with rear, middle and front mounted engines.
