The second generation Lincoln MKX was revealed as a concept at the 2014 Beijing show, the production model at the 2015 Detroit show, and went on sale in the fall of 2015 as a 2016 model. Trim levels included Premiere, Select, Reserve and Black Label. For the 2019 model year it underwent a mid cycle revision introduced in November 2017 that gave it the Lincoln Nautilus nameplate. Its model years run from 2016 to 2018.
