2008 Land Rover Freelander

Automobiles

The 2008 LR2 was the first Freelander of the second generation as seen in North America, after Land Rover had left the compact SUV class following the end of the first generation in 2005. The LR2 HSE had a Volvo 3.2-litre inline-six engine of 230 horsepower, a six-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. A limited HST version added side trim, a front valance and 19-inch wheels. In Britain the standard engine was the PSA 2.2-litre turbodiesel, offered in eD4, TD4 and SD4 states of tune.
