2006 Land Rover Freelander

Automobiles

In 2006 the first-generation Freelander reached the end of its run, with the K-series petrol engine, the BMW Td4 diesel and the KV6 all listed to 2006, and it was Europe's best-selling four-wheel drive over nine years and more than 540,000 units. The same year the second-generation Freelander debuted at the British International Motor Show, with a presentation featuring the tennis player Maria Sharapova. Ford bought the Rover trademark from BMW in 2006.
