1965 Jeep CJ-5

Automobiles

In 1965 Kaiser bought a license to produce the Buick 225 cubic inch Dauntless V6 engine, to offer a new 155 horsepower option on the CJ-5 and CJ-6, countering complaints that the 75 horsepower four cylinder Willys Hurricane engine was underpowered. Power steering was an 81 dollar option. The Tuxedo Park Mark IV was introduced in 1965 as an attempt to crack the mass market, but sales of this model were low.
