1966 Imperial (1955 to 1983)

Automobiles

The 1966 model year was the final year of the platform first introduced in 1956 for the 1957 model year, and the car still used a wrap around windshield that most makes had dropped. A new egg crate grille, glass headlight covers edged with twin gold bands, larger taillights and more extensive walnut trim appeared, and the 413 engine gave way to a 350 horsepower 440. Production totaled 13,752, including a LeBaron presented to Pope Paul VI.
