The name Si VTEC (BB4) was last used on the Honda Prelude for 1993, and from 1994 it was cut down to plain VTEC. The VTEC model got upgraded brakes, with the 10.3 inch front rotor swapped for an 11.1 inch one and a larger caliper and pads like those of the Honda Vigor. A 2.0i single overhead cam model rated at 133 PS was released in Europe. The Prelude was on Car and Driver's Ten Best list seven times, from 1992.
