1981 Honda Prelude

Automobiles

The Honda Prelude received a mild facelift in 1981, which meant a return to a more traditional dashboard, rather than the much critiqued Concentrated Target Meter used before. Stainless steel trim strips along the bumpers and the side moldings, and a new grille, were further additions for the 1981 Prelude. Honda used a single central gauge cluster design on the first generation which housed the speedometer and tachometer in one combined unit where both instrument needles swept along the same arc.
