Honda introduced the second-generation Legend, chassis KA7 and KA8, on October 24, 1990, and it kept both a sedan and a coupe in the lineup. Japan also called it the Super Legend, because of the much bigger 3.2 liter C32A engine that was now the sole engine, rated 215 PS in the Type I and 235 PS in the Type II. It benefited from research and testing done for the Honda NSX, with the engine mounted longitudinally behind the front axle in what Honda called a front wheel drive midship layout, and a passenger side airbag was introduced. Trim levels were Alpha and Beta. Each model year has its own page.
