The third-generation Fit, chassis GK, GH and GP, keeps the design concept of earlier generations, notably the fuel tank under the front seats and the flexible interior that Honda marketed as Magic Seat, and it brought in Honda's updated design language called Exciting H Design. Honda launched it in Japan on 5 September 2013 on its all new Global Small Car Platform, with 27 percent of the bodywork in ultra high strength steel, and the Fit Hybrid with the i-DCD system went on sale in Japan and Malaysia only. A facelift went on sale in Japan on 29 June 2017. Each model year of this generation has its own page.
