The 1992 model year brought a minor facelift to the Honda Accord, announced in 1991. The SE trim was dropped but its 140 hp F22A6 engine moved into the EX models, which added 15 hp over the DX and LX trims. For the 1992 and 1993 model years a driver side airbag with ordinary belts replaced the motorised shoulder belt system, and the EX received standard four wheel disc brakes with anti lock control. The front and rear ends were rounded off and updated, and Honda brought out the Tenth Anniversary Edition sedan in 1992 to mark a decade of Accord production in the U.S.
