Wolseley Eight

Automobiles

The Wolseley Eight was a four door light saloon built from 1946 to 1948, derived from the Series E Morris Eight and sharing a lot of its body panels with the MG Y type. It was designed before the war to be launched in 1940 and was said to be Lord Nuffield's favourite car. It had a traditional Wolseley bonnet and grille, an overhead valve engine of 33 horsepower and an upmarket interior, and most were exported under the economic directives of the government. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the Eight (1946 to 1948).
