Morris Eight

Automobiles

The Eight was the small Morris family car launched in October 1934, inspired by the Ford Model Y and closely following its styling, which let Morris regain its position as Britain's largest car maker. It had a 918 cubic centimeter side valve engine, Lockheed hydraulic brakes and a saloon or tourer body, and 164,102 Series I cars were produced. The Series E of 1938 brought a major restyle and its engine went on into the first Morris Minor. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the Series I (1934 to 1938); the Series II and Series E (1938 to 1948).
