For the 2010 model year the previously optional Vehicle Stability Control and traction control became standard on the Matrix. The 2009 to 2010 Matrix, like its Vibe relative, was also subject to the Toyota recalls over floor mats and accelerator pedals. It was model year 2 of 6 in the Toyota Matrix (second generation, E140), 2009 to 2014, coming after the 2009 model year and before the 2011 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Matrix run from 2003 to 2014.
