In January 2010 the Aygo was part of a worldwide Toyota recall over a faulty sticking accelerator pedal, which also covered the Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1. The German automobile club placed the Aygo and its siblings at the top of the sub small car class for reliability in May 2010. It was model year 6 of 9 in the Toyota Aygo (first generation, AB10 to AB30), 2005 to 2013, coming after the 2009 model year and before the 2011 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Aygo run from 2005 to 2022.
