In March 1990 four door versions of the S-10 Blazer and Jimmy were introduced as a 1991 model, with a wheelbase 6.5 inches longer than the two door. The Jimmy was the GMC counterpart of the Chevrolet Blazer, based on the S-15 pickup, and built in plants in Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio and Louisiana. A four door GMC S-15 Jimmy was thus new for the 1991 model year. The GMC Jimmy of 1991 added the four door body.
