In 2026 Ford, partnering with Jiangling Motors, will release the Transit City in China, a smaller van in the Transit family. The Ford Transit itself remains a family of light commercial vehicles that the Ford Motor Company has built since 1965, mainly as a cargo van but also as a large passenger van, minibus, cutaway van chassis and a pickup truck, with a fourth generation introduced in 2013 and the E-Transit electric version.
