For 2020 production Ford ended the short wheelbase Transit Connect passenger van and sold only the three row body style. About eighty five percent of the Transit Connects imported to North America were converted from passenger vans to cargo vans after arrival from Spain. The Transit Connect was Ford's compact panel van, developed by Ford of Europe as a dedicated commercial vehicle. It sat between the Transit Courier and the Transit Custom in the Ford Transit range.
