1972 Ford Taunus

Automobiles

The last specifically German Ford, the P7b, was replaced in early 1972 by the new Consul and Granada, leaving the Taunus TC as the Taunus of Ford Germany. The TC was a fashionable coupe, sedan and wagon sharing its construction with the Cortina, but with different door skins and rear wings. The Taunus was the family car of Ford Germany, sold under the 12M, 15M, 17M, 20M and 26M names over several generations. It was named after the Taunus mountain range in Germany and was often a close relative of a British Ford.
