In June 2003 the Mondeo was given a very mild upgrade, identified by a larger chrome honeycomb grille, redesigned fog lights, and a new central dashboard of higher quality materials with electronic climate control. New trim levels came with the mid cycle facelift, Titanium and Titanium X between Zetec S and Ghia, and the ST220, with a newly developed 226 PS 3.0 liter V6, replaced the ST200. In 2003 it ranked tenth among Britain's best selling cars.
