The cheap open topped Köln was priced in 1935 at 1,850 marks, which was 360 marks less than the advertised price of the ordinary two door sedan. In 1935 the Köln was replaced by the Ford Eifel, a larger car based on the British Model C, though the Köln was also sold that year. It faced strong competition from Opel, DKW and Adler and was replaced by the Eifel. The Köln was a small German built version of the British Ford Model Y, built at Cologne from 1933.
