Changes for 1980 were limited to new colours and new, more comfortable seats, so the Granada stayed much as it had been introduced in 1977. In Korea, where the car was assembled by Hyundai, the original 2.0 liter V6 engine with two barrel Solex carburetor was joined by a more economical four cylinder after the 1980 oil crisis had slowed sales. Ford Australia's XD Falcon of 1979 to 1982 bears a strong resemblance to the Mark II.
