1999 Ford Galaxy

Automobiles

A 1999 survey by Top Gear magazine rated the Galaxy the least satisfying car in the United Kingdom, even though it was then the biggest selling people carrier there. Ford left the Autoeuropa joint venture that year, handing full ownership of the plant to Volkswagen. It was slotted between the Tourneo Connect and the Tourneo Custom in the Ford range, and was the first Ford brand people carrier made outside North America. The Galaxy was a seven seat people carrier that Ford built for the European market, sharing its platform with the Mondeo in its later forms.
