A magazine review rated the Fusion Hybrid the top domestic sedan for 2010, and the gas electric Fusion Hybrid was among the variants available in the model line. The Fusion remained one of the best selling cars in the United States, sold from the Hermosillo plant in Mexico, and shared the CD3 platform with the Mercury Milan and Lincoln MKZ, both of which were built alongside it. In February 2009 Motor Trend had rated the Fusion Hybrid ahead of the Camry, Altima and Malibu hybrids.
