The Falcon XF sedan and wagon sold between October 1984 and March 1988. In the aftermath of the cancellation of the Capricorn program, the XF Falcon was conceived as an interim facelift for the XE Falcon until the all new fifth generation Falcon was ready to go on sale. New front end styling gave a softer, more rounded appearance, and the interiors featured updated seating, moulded door trims and new colour keyed dashboards.
