The second generation, marketed as the Triple Economy series, changed the model names from one digit numbers to the three digit F-100 to F-350 system that Ford still uses. It had a widened cab with a larger windshield, a shorter 110 inch wheelbase, power brakes, an adjustable seat and the Ford-O-Matic automatic, and moved from flathead engines to the overhead valve Y-block V8. It was built at eleven United States plants and from 1957 in Brazil. Each model year has its own page.
