For 1961 the fourth generation F-Series introduced a lower and wider cab and Ford's first integrated design, with the body stampings for the cab and Styleside pickup bed welded together, as on the car based Ranchero. Ford returned to a two headlight grille, a change that stayed in place for over fifty years. The F-Series panel van was discontinued, functionally replaced by the Ford Econoline. Ford Argentina assembled the line from 1961.
