The facelifted sixth generation Explorer was revealed on 1 February 2024 for the 2025 model year, with a redesigned front fascia, a larger grille, sleeker lights and a revised interior with a 13.2 inch touchscreen and 12.3 inch digital gauge cluster standard on all models. The 2024 Explorer itself remained the unfacelifted car in XLT, Limited, ST and Platinum forms, with the Timberline and ST Line trims.
