1997 Ford Expedition

Automobiles

The Expedition was unveiled on 9 May 1996 and launched on 2 October 1996 as a 1997 model, replacing the 1978 to 1996 Ford Bronco as a truck based five door station wagon that shared its commonality with the F-150. Production started in July 1996 on a program that cost 1.3 billion dollars. Eddie Bauer trim was offered from 1997, and up to nine passengers could be seated. The Expedition name first appeared in 1992 on a Ford F-150 concept.
