The refreshed Escape for the 2017 model year had an Edge inspired front fascia, reshaped LED taillights and a two slat hexagonal grille, with driver assist features such as enhanced park assist, lane keeping, forward collision warning and adaptive cruise control. In March 2017 Ford recalled 692,700 2014 Escapes for faulty door latches, and the 1.6 liter engine recall contributed to a charge of 300 million dollars.
