In 2025, for the 2026 model year, the E Series cutaway received a new grille, its first exterior update since 2008, as the oldest chassis in the Ford range. The van line had run since 1961, and by 2025 it was sold only to upfitters, powered by a 7.3 litre V8. It was the best selling full size van in the United States from 1980 until the Transit replaced the vans in 2014. The E Series was Ford's full size van, sold as the Econoline and Club Wagon and as a cutaway chassis.
