The instrument cluster of the E Series in 2023 had a 2.3 inch monochrome screen with an available upgrade to an 8 inch colour screen, and the new instrument panel allowed new optional safety equipment such as adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning. It was the best selling full size van in the United States from 1980 until the Transit replaced the vans in 2014. The E Series was Ford's full size van, sold as the Econoline and Club Wagon and as a cutaway chassis.
