For the 2008 model year the chassis of the E Series underwent its largest revisions of the fourth generation, with larger brakes, improved steering and rollover stability control added, and a restyled front end like that of the new Super Duty trucks. The interior carried over. The E Series was Ford's full size van, sold as the Econoline and Club Wagon and as a cutaway chassis. It was the best selling full size van in the United States from 1980 until the Transit replaced the vans in 2014.
