Following the end of Mercury branded trucks in 1968 the Mercury Econoline was the last Mercury branded van until the Mercury Villager minivan arrived in 1993. The Econoline of 1993 was a fourth generation full size van with a redesigned body and interior from the previous year. It was the best selling full size van in the United States from 1980 until the Transit replaced the vans in 2014. The E Series was Ford's full size van, sold as the Econoline and Club Wagon and as a cutaway chassis.
