Ford Cortina (Mark II)

Automobiles

The second generation Cortina, styled by Roy Haynes and launched on 18 October 1966, took some styling from the third generation American Falcon and was fractionally shorter than before. It came as two and four door saloons with base, Deluxe, Super, GT and later 1600E trims, with a four door estate in February 1967. In 1967 it was Britain's most popular new car, ending the long run of the BMC 1100 and 1300 at the top of the charts. Its model years run from 1966 to 1969.
