The Presso, a hatchback coupe sold at the Eunos stores of Mazda, with the Autozam AZ-3 as its sister car, was shown at Geneva in March 1991 as the MX-3 and went on sale in Japan through the Eunos channel in June 1991. It had a 1.8 liter 24 valve V6 engine, then said to be the smallest V6 in the world, a three dimensional curved rear window and a look like a small RX-7. The Presso was said at its announcement to be the smallest V6 engined car in the world, until Mitsubishi put a 1.6 liter V6 in the Lancer and the Mirage.
