With the collapse of the bubble and the worsening finances of Mazda, sales of the Efini MS-9 ended in December 1993. It was a luxury sedan sold from November 1991, with a body and engines shared with the Sentia, the Black Forest Mica color that was exclusive to it, and the role of flagship of the Efini channel, the previous dealer brand known as Mazda Auto. The Efini MS-9 shared its body and its engines with the Sentia.
