The Efini MS-9 of 1992 was in its first full year, the flagship sedan of the Efini sales channel of Mazda, a rear wheel drive luxury car with a 3.0 liter V6 as on the Sentia, with optional items of the Sentia fitted as standard. Mazda had pushed its multi channel dealer network, and the MS-9 was a Sentia with a changed grille and wheels, treated by some as practically the same model. The Efini MS-9 was sold as a luxury sedan of the E segment through the Efini channel, formerly the Mazda Auto channel.
