1970 Dodge Monaco

Automobiles

The 1970 Monaco received new front and rear styling with complex loop bumpers, a new die cast grille enclosing the headlamps and a longer looking hood, plus a Torsion Quiet suspension that used rubber isolators and a wider rear track. The 440 Magnum V8 was dropped, with the wagon's 350 horsepower 440 becoming the top engine. Despite the costly changes, sales fell again and 24,692 Monacos were built for the 1970 model year.
