1952 DeSoto Firedome

Automobiles

The Firedome was introduced as DeSoto's premium line for the 1952 model year, powered by a Hemi V8 that gave DeSoto its first eight cylinder engine since 1931 and made the car a high performance model with a top speed near one hundred miles per hour. The line could seat six passengers and replaced the Custom nameplate, which was retired at the end of the 1952 model year as the Firedome took over as the new top series.
