Alongside its Dodge and Plymouth counterparts the 1996 Town and Country introduced several features to the segment, including a driver side sliding door and rear seats mounted on deployable wheels, the Easy Out Roller Seats. The third generation was introduced at the beginning of 1995 and it brought a short wheelbase Town and Country LX that replaced the Plymouth Voyager LX, with the body of the Caravan and Voyager in place of the Grand versions.
