The 1995 Town and Country was largely carryover in a shortened final year of the second generation, as Chrysler introduced its third generation minivans at the beginning of 1995 for the 1996 model year. The 1995 model had the 3.8 liter V6 that replaced the 3.3 liter, with the long wheelbase body that all second generation Town and Country minivans used. A user now had to press the liftgate release button within five seconds to open the liftgate.
