The 1961 model saw another restyle. The grille, formerly wider at the bottom than the top, was inverted, and the quad headlights, formerly side by side, were canted inward at the bottom. The cross ram engines carried over, with the exotic French manual transmission replaced by an exclusive heavy duty Chrysler manual, and a 300G reached 143 miles per hour in the Daytona Flying Mile. Colors included Formal Black, Mardi Gras Red, Alaskan White and Cinnamon metallic with tan leather.
