1981 Chevrolet Malibu

Automobiles

For the 1981 model year the Malibu sedans adopted a four window profile and a formal pillared upright roof line, a change from the earlier sedan shapes. It was the last of the three model years in which General Motors built this generation in Mexico at the Ramos Arizpe plant, from 1979 to 1981, for sale in the region. The 9C1 police package was available on the Malibu in 1981, filling the void left in mid size police patrol cars after the Nova ended.
