For the 2016 model year the Impala went from five to four trim levels, LS, LT1, LT2 and LTZ2, a Midnight appearance package was added, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were added. Production of the Impala Limited, the earlier generation sold to fleets, ended in May 2016. The Jet Black and Brownstone interior color scheme was dropped, a new 800 cold cranking amp battery replaced the 900, and the CD player was standard only on the LTZ.
