To mark the fiftieth year of the Impala a 50th Anniversary Edition was introduced in spring 2008, based on the LT. It added the FE3 sport suspension, four wheel antilock brakes, eighteen inch SS style alloy wheels and a rear SS style spoiler. The 50th Anniversary Edition added four wheel ABS, eighteen inch SS style alloy wheels and anniversary badges to the LT, and replaced the FE1 touring suspension with the FE3 sport suspension.
