Beginning with the 1964 model year the Skylark trim level had enough sales to merit its own separate line, moving with the lower priced Special to a new 115 inch wheelbase intermediate chassis shared with the Oldsmobile F 85, Pontiac Tempest and new Chevrolet Chevelle. The standard aluminum block V8 was discontinued and replaced by a new all cast iron V6. Its model years run from 1964 to 1967. This page belongs to the Buick Skylark model on its Buick make page, and it links to the generation and the neighbouring model years so that the whole run of the model can be followed in order.
